Landfill leachate refers to a kind of highly concentrated organic wastewater formed by the water contained in the garbage itself in the waste disposal site, the rain and snow water and other water entering the waste treatment plant, deducting the saturated water of the garbage and the overlying soil layer, and experiencing the waste and overlying soil layer. There is also water seepage from accumulated waste destined for incineration.
In the treatment methods of leachate, such as the combined treatment of leachate and municipal sewage is easy to destroy the activity of microorganisms, in addition, the landfill is usually far away from the town, so the leachate often has to be treated separately. The mature and applicable technology is: biochemical method + membrane separation method, which not only has low production cost, but also has good effluent quality, which conforms to the first level discharge standard newly issued by the state.
Equipment Features
Membrane bioreactor (MBR) is a combination of membrane processes like microfiltration or ultrafiltration with a biological wastewater treatment process, the activated sludge process. It is now widely used for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment.[1] In general, there are two different MBR configurations: (1) submerged membrane bioreactor (SMBR) and (2) side stream membrane bioreactor.[2] In the first configuration, the membrane is located inside the biological reactor, submerged in the wastewater. In the latter configuration, the membrane is located outside the reactor, as an additional step after biological treatment.
MBR technology uses membrane filtration to replace the secondary sedimentation tank in the traditional activated sludge method, which can increase the sludge concentration in the biochemical reactor from 3 ~ 5g/L to 20 ~ 30g/L, and the maximum can reach 40g/L, so as to improve the reaction efficiency, and the effluent is sterile and suspended. And there is no need to consider the sludge settlement and bulking too much. The process flow is: leachate, pretreatment, regulating tank, MBR tank (tubular ultrafiltration membrane), RO and effluent. The main characteristics of MBR are as follows: the main pollutants COD, BOD and ammonia nitrogen are effectively degraded without secondary pollution; 100% biological bacteria isolation; The effluent is free of bacteria and solids; The project covers a small area; Small amount of residual sludge; No deodorizing device; Lower operating costs. Landfill leachate treated by MBR can generally meet the indirect discharge requirements. If the effluent needs to meet the direct discharge standards, RO can be used for further treatment according to different situations.
